Vigilance Awareness Week held in Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh: Faculty members and non-teaching staff of various departments and offices of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) took the integrity pledge and swore to follow the rule of law and perform tasks in an honest and transparent manner to observe the Vigilance Awareness Week.

The Psychological Society, Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised virtual slogan writing and quiz competitions on the theme, ‘Vigilant India’ and ‘Corruption’ respectively to observe the week-long observations.

“Dr Hannah Hameed won the first prize in the slogan writing contest, while Nabeeha Khan secured the second position. Vishal Saxena finished third. Twenty participants were given certificates for securing over 75 percent marks in the quiz competition,” said Professor Roomana N Siddiqui (Chairperson, Department of Psychology) and Dr Heena Parveen (Teacher In-Charge, Psychological Society).

At the Department of Jarahat, Faculty of Unani Medicine, Prof Iqbal Aziz (Chairman) administered the integrity pledge to the faculty members and non-teaching staff.

Addressing the staff, he said urged everyone to lead by example of exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour and to always act in the public interest.

A workshop on ‘Satark Baharat and Samridh Bharat’ and a debate programme to raise awareness were also held.
