Virtual Alumni Meet at Women’s Polytechnic

 

 

Aligarh : The Alumni Affairs Committee of the Women’s Polytechnic, AMU, organised a Virtual Alumni Meet of the Women’s Polytechnic in wjich two of the distinguished Alumni shared their views on “Prospects of higher education abroad and Expanding career horizon and job prospects through alumni connections”. More than 75 students including the alumni and students of University Women’s Polytechnic attended it

 

Ms Sabika Kazmi (Solution Implementation Analyst, Birmingham, UK), highlighted the benefits of the education system abroad. One of the major advantages emphasized was that the education programs abroad in corporate classroom learning within field learning experiences. She encouraged the students to hone their soft skills by participating in debates, presentations, competitions, internships and focussed projects.

 

Ms Sadaf Najam, (QA Engineer at Plotly, Canada) exhorted the students to pursue their higher education abroad as it not only broadens their horizon but also, they will experience a diverse culture. She also stressed that the students should become a part of the global alumni network.

Dr Salma Shaheen, Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic in her welcome address assured the participants to organize more webinars to ensure that the young minds of the Women’s Polytechnic get ample opportunity and exposure to meet and exchange their thoughts and experiences of their alumni.

 

Dr Mohd A Kafeel, Departmental Coordinator, University Women’s Polytechnic Alumni Committee introduced the speakers.
