VIT Alumni Association Coimbatore Chapter | Dr.G.Viswanathan, Chancellor – VIT University meet 100 plus alumni from Coimbatore

The VIT Alumni Association (VITAA) Coimbatore chapter alumni came together with great joy to honor Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, a true icon of dedication and vision, who has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by SUNY (State University of New York). This prestigious recognition is a testament to his remarkable contributions to international higher education.

The event was graced by VIT VPs Mr. Sankar Viswanathan and Dr. G. V. Selvam, along with distinguished guests including Padma Shri Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman of the KG Group and KG Hospitals; Mr. Senthil Valavan, Director of Coimbatore International Airport; Dr. L.P. Thangavelu, Chairman of PPG Group of Institutions; Mr. S. Chandrasekar, Executive Director of N. Mahalingam and Company; Prof. S. Ranganathan, Advisor for PR at Amrita University and Former Syndicate Member of Bharathiar University; and Dr. Srinivasan, Chief Pediatrician at KG Hospitals.

The felicitation ceremony, held at Hotel Kiscol Grand on August 6, 2024, was a memorable occasion, cherished by all present. The VITAA continues to achieve significant milestones with the unwavering support of its members. Currently, VITAA boasts a network of 39 international chapters, 21 domestic chapters, and 3 institutional chapters, both domestic and abroad, with over 130,000 alumni worldwide.
