VIT-AP University honours 9 Unsung Heroes on 75th Republic Day

Amaravati : In a significant event on the 75th Republic Day Celebrations, VIT-AP University honoured nine individuals who exemplified extraordinary dedication and service to society. The recipients included sanitation workers from Guntur Municipal Corporation, recognized for their exceptional efforts in upholding cleanliness and averting the build-up of waste in Guntur city. Additionally, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel were acknowledged for their commendable actions in safeguarding numerous lives amid floods and other critical situations. Furthermore, the DMHO (District Medical and Health Officer) staff played a pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergency scenarios. In addition to appreciation certificates, each individual was also presented with a monetary reward of Rs. 25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand) on the occasion.

The national flag was unfurled by the chief guest Mr. Kishore Borra – Managing Director Energy Tech Global private limited, Hyderabad, Telangana marking the solemn occasion. In his address, Mr. Kishore Borra, said that Republic Day holds a special place in the hearts of every Indian, as it marks the day when our Constitution came into effect, heralding a new era of democracy and freedom.He applauded the university for choosing significant national days like Republic Day and Independence Day to honour the Unsung Heroes.

Recognizing their invaluable contributions, he applauded the selfless dedication and unwavering commitment exhibited by these unsung individuals.
