VKC Pride bags the Mid-Day Iconic Brand Award

Kochi: India’s leading PU footwear manufacturer VKC Pride has received the prestigious Mid-Day Iconic footwear brand award for the year 2022. The award was presented to VKC Razak, Managing Director, VKC Group, by Indian actress Isha Koppikar at an event held in Dubai. MV Venugopal, Director, VKC Group was also present while receiving the award.

Commenting on the achievement VKC Razak said: “We are focused on further enhancing the footwear industry in India and making it a global leader by introducing the latest technologies, innovative products and diverse brand portfolios.” He added that the ‘Shop Local’ campaign introduced by VKC to energise neighbour businesses across India has already benefited over 2.5 lakh small retailers and stimulated local economies.

The award was in the Retail and Lifestyle segment. VKC Pride was selected for the award based on criteria such as product quality, value for money, durability, accessibility and footwear varieties. VKC has been instrumental in making Kozhikode the largest PU footwear manufacturing hub in India. In addition to footwear production, VKC has been implementing various schemes to support small traders and local markets and for the welfare of those working in the industry.
