Vladimir Putin Engages with ITMO PhD Students at World Youth Festival
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with international students pursuing their PhDs at Russian universities before the closing ceremony of the World Youth Festival. On behalf of ITMO University, the festival was attended by Fares Dia Eddine Ghorab from the Infochemistry Scientific Center and Darwesh Ghadeer from the Faculty of Secure Information Technologies.
The meeting took place backstage prior to the President’s speech at the closing ceremony. Vladimir Putin noted the country’s successful experience of hosting the event and took a photo with the participants of the festival.
The World Youth Festival was held from March 1 to March 7, 2024, in the Sirius Federal Territory. The festival brought together 20,000 people from Russia and 190 other countries. The mission of the festival is to foster connections between young and ambitious people from all across the world who are to create a common future together – a multipolar world based on cooperation and balance of interests.
