VP Jagdeep Dhankhar unveils plaque of Arun Jaitley Multipurpose Stadium at Shri Ram College of Commerce

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar unveiled the plaque of the Arun Jaitley Multipurpose Stadium at Shri Ram College of Commerce, SRCC, University of Delhi on Saturday. The stadium has been named to commemorate the former Union Minister Arun Jaitley’s contribution towards nation building and his deep affection for his alma mater, SRCC. The Vice President was the Chief Guest at the naming ceremony of the Arun Jaitley Multipurpose Stadium.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President highlighted the contribution of Arun Jaitley saying that he discharged his obligation in every assignment with a different perspective, being the president of Delhi University during the emergency. The Vice President added that Mr. Jaitley was the youngest member as Additional Solicitor General of India and made a huge contribution by dealing with intractable situations in the country and outside.

Talking about the country VP said, our Bharat which is home to one-sixth of humanity, is in an upbeat mood today with transparent and accountable governance and phenomenal rise in infrastructure. He said, we are witnessing emergence of India as a diplomatic soft power and rise of its global stature.
