Walkathon Spreads Message of Petroleum Conservation

 

Aligarh : As a part of Saksham-2023 campaign to spread awareness for petroleum conservation, a walkathon was organised today morning by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in collaboration with the AMU Gas Agency and other agencies, which was flagged off by Mr. Mohammad Imran IPS, Registrar, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

The walkathon started from Aligarh Habitat Center and ended at Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College Hospital, AMU.

Notably, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India through Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) raises awareness on conservation of petroleum products under ‘SAKSHAM’ and holds it every year to make it a mass movement for oil and gas conservation activities.

This year SAKSHAM-2023 has been planned from 24th April to 8th May 2023 with the theme Energy Conservation – Towards ‘Net Zero’.

Mr. Rohit Jain, LPG Sales Officer, Indian Oil, Dr. Riaz Ahmad (Member-in-charge, AMU Gas Agency), Dr. M. Kashif (Associate MIC), Mr. Salim Shams (Manager) and other Indane LPG Distributors of Aligarh city along with others actively participated in the walkathon.
