Washington State University: 2024 AP Contribution Awards Presented by the Administrative Professional Advisory Council
The Administrative Professional Advisory Council recently recognized six Washington State University staff members with its 2024 AP Contribution Awards.
The award recognizes administrative professionals who have made exceptional contributions to the university system and their respective areas or units. This year’s award winners are:
Kimberly Cufley

Mica DeMarco

DeMarco, a recruitment director at WSU Pullman, was highly recommended by various members of admissions and enrollment, recruitment, and communications for her leadership, innovation, and dedicated care for the success and legacy of WSU.
Jenny Glass
Puyallup Extension
The letter of support for Glass, a diagnostic plant pathologist, provides demonstrated examples of her dedication towards fairness and inclusion.
Merri Lecoq
Pullman
As the Cougar Food Pantry Coordinator, Lecoq was recognized for her daily dedication to promoting healthy food options for WSU students.
Michelle Martinez
Pullman
Martinez, director of administrative services for the College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, was nominated by a wide range administrators and faculty for her professionalism, problem-solving, and efforts in engaging others with dignity and respect.
John Rarig
Pullman
Rarig, an undergraduate advisor for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was recognized for his empathetic approach towards his work in providing the highest quality advising despite what can be challenging environments.
