Webinar held to mark India’s Presidency of G20 Summit

ALIGARH  : The Department of West Asian and North African Studies, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organized a webinar on “India’s Presidency of the G20: Implications for the Contemporary World”.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, Former Dean, Faculty of International Studies, AMU, provided valuable insights into the topic and highlighted the significant implications that India’s presidency of G20 holds for the world. He said it has provided an opportunity to India to shape the global agenda for future and address critical issues, including economic impact, geopolitical influence, climate change, global health, trade, commerce, and other development initiatives.

In his opening remarks, the patron of the webinar, Dean, Faculty of International Studies and the Chairman of the concerned department, Prof. Muhammad Azhar emphasized the significance of the topic and discussed the issues of prime concern for the member countries.

The Convener, Prof. Rakhshanda F. Fazli summarized the key takeaways in her concluding remarks. She said that the webinar served as a platform for in-depth discussion on India’s role in G20 and its implications on the contemporary world.

Imtiaz Ahmad moderated the discussion and interaction, while the Organizing Secretary, Muhammad Ubaid extended a vote of thanks.
