Webinar on Efficient E-Learning amid Covid-19

Aligarh: “During the Covid-19 pandemic, online mode of teaching-learning has become a new norm in the centres of higher education and it is expected to grow, therefore teacher-learner both have to equip themselves with digital skills”, said Prof M Amjad (Department of Computer Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi).

He was delivering keynote address during a webinar on “efficient E-learning amid Covid-19”, organised by Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Prof Amjad delineated on how one can learn and manage to use free platforms like ‘Google Class and Easyclass’.

Dr Ashish Kumar Maurya, (Assistant Professor, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Prayagraj) discussed freely accessible resources, openly licensed text, media, and other digital assets that are useful for teaching, learning, and assessing, as well as for research purposes.

Earlier, Dr Salma Shaheen (Principal, Women?s Polytechnic, AMU, and Webinar convener) welcomed the delegates, resource persons and participants of the programme.

Dr Abdus Samad, (Associate Professor, University Women?s Polytechnic, and webinar coordinator) presented a brief overview of the webinar.

Dr Amir Khan (Department of Electronics) introduced the resource persons, while Dr M Yasir (Department of Electronics) concluded the session.

Approximately 172 participants under student category and 18 participants under teacher category registered for the webinar.

Dr Abdus Samad proposed the vote of thanks.

Feedback from the participants was collected at the end of the webinar through Google form link.
