Webinar with students of the Prionezhsky district
On December 17, 2020, representatives of PetrSU and the Medical Institute met with students of Prionezhie online.
The Deputy Director of the Medical Institute Marina Eduardovna Shubina and the Director of the Interdistrict Resource Center in Petrozavodsk Tatyana Semyonovna Ternovskaya acquainted potential applicants with PetrSU – a flagship university of the Republic of Karelia and with the Medical Institute.
Future applicants were told about the profession of a doctor and pharmacist, drawing attention to the importance and high need of the healthcare system of the Republic of Karelia for qualified professional personnel.
Using the example of the selfless work of medical workers of medical institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, the students got acquainted with the activities of the students of the Medical Institute, who are actively involved in helping healthcare institutions within the framework of practical training and as volunteers.
The schoolchildren were given information about the rules for admission to PetrSU in 2021 , as well as a list of disciplines and told about the criteria for competitive selection, the possibilities of admission in a targeted direction from medical institutions when entering the Medical Institute of PetrSU.
They discussed the future professional growth of doctors and pharmacists, a list of areas for training a specialist and residency.
Demonstration of a film about the Medical Institute of PetrSU allowed potential applicants to get acquainted with student life at PetrSU – the educational process and extracurricular activities.
Of particular interest was the opportunity for students to participate in research activities from the first years of study, in the Olympiads and competitions “I am a professional”, volunteer activities of the movement “Volunteers-doctors” and “WeVmeste”.
