Week-long Seerat-ul-Nabi Programmes Conclude

 

Aligarh : The week-long Seerat-ul-Nabi (the life of Prophet Mohammad) programmes under the aegis of the Seerat Committee, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) concluded with the valedictory ceremony which was presided over by Prof Mohammad Gulrez, Vice Chancellor, AMU.

In his presidential remarks, Prof Gulrez said that parents should rear their children in the light of the life of the prophet. “There can be no better example than him. Participation in such programmes not only stimulates the interest of the students but also inculcates in them the passion to study and follow the Prophet’s biography”, Prof Gulrez said.

Chief Guest of the event, Prof Towqueer Alam, Dean, Faculty of Theology said “it’s our duty to teach the children about the life of the Prophet and make them understand his message”.

The Guest of Honour, Professor Mohammad Saleem, former Dean, Faculty of Theology, said it’s heartening to note that the students participating in this week long programme presented various aspects of the life of the Prophet in the light of Hadiths and Quranic verses.

Earlier, Prof Mohammad Habibullah, Convener of the Seerat Committee and Chairman of the Department of Sunni Theology welcomed the guests and attendees.

The closing ceremony was conducted by Dr. Nadeem Ashraf.
