Westland Books acquires Sangeetha Chakrapani’s debut book about raising quadruplets, autism, and motherhood

Westland Books is pleased to announce the acquisition of Sangeetha Chakrapani’s memoir, Whatever It Takes, in which she writes about motherhood, autism, and her indefatigable will. The book focuses on a difficult phase in her life when, dealing with the challenges of becoming a mother to quadruplets, two of whom are autistic, Sangeetha went through a period of struggle. This is the story of her resilience, of being a hardworking and loving mother, and her firm resolve to make the world better for her children.

Commenting on the acquisition of the book, author Sangeetha Chakrapani said, “When strangers came up to me and said my posts on social media made them smile or gave them courage, I realised my story had the power to inspire. I wrote this book with the intention that people would read it and feel that things were not so bad after all. I am glad Westland has decided to help me spread my message of hope.”

Sanghamitra Biswas, Executive Editor, Westland Books, added, ‘Sangeetha Chakrapani’s memoir about raising quadruplets, two of whom are autistic, is an emotional roller coaster. Her story is moving and empowering, and sheds light on the need to make the world more inclusive. An important addition to our list for 2024.’
