Whiz Juniors organises ‘The Grand Award Show 2018’ in Mumbai

Mumbai: The Grand award show was successfully conducted today at the National Sports Club of India (NSCI), Worli for the winners of the iconic quiz based national competition ‘Techathon 2018’, ‘Whiz Googler 2018’, & ‘Paper Day Whiz Activity’ organised for both teachers and students across India. The award ceremony recognised the talent of the students and teachers in technical skills from different schools across the country who actively took part in these events.

The participation from students, teachers and schools are increasing year on year basis in these innovative learning competitions. These competitions are being increasingly planned as they are becoming a popular tool to enable learning with fun and now it has achieved much needed recognition of unique property among kids, teachers and schools.

‘Techathon 2018’ is a quiz based national competition to promote technical understanding, ‘Whiz Googler 2018’ enables learning by learning Google courses that develop skills which shall help in day-to-day learning and ‘Paper Day Whiz Activity’ in collaboration that aims at breaking the myth that we grow more trees than we cut. The students who participated in the event made videos of products designed out of paper and uploaded them, making innovative use of paper.

All the winners have received the recognition from Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis in the presence of other dignitaries like Mr. KV Vincent, Secretary & Treasurer, All India Association of ICSE Schools, Ms. Shaina NC – Indian Fashion Designer, Politician & Social Worker, Mrs. Perin Bagli, State Secretary of ICSE Schools, Mr. Abhinandan Thorat, Advisor to Maharashtra Government amongst others.

The event also showcased insights of their forthcoming initiative in association with UNESCO Centre for Peace and the U.S Federation called ‘UNESCO Builders of the Universe Camp’. This initiative brings grass roots brush up in education, science and culture, invites the youth around the world to take part in its Multimedia competitions to build a harmonious world in future.

The event also provided an insight into the future properties planned for 2019, after a huge success of the properties in their first leg.
The winners of the ‘Techathon 2018’ from student category were Kushagra Agarwal and Praneel Patel both from Presidency School NLO, Bengaluru stood 1st and 2nd respectively while Aishani Kapoor from Uttam School for Girls stood 3rd. In the teachers’ category Sonia Babu from Presidency School NLO, Bengaluru stood 1st, Jyoti Khurana from Gems International School, Delhi stood 2nd and Chetna Goyal from Gems Modern Academy, Gurgaon stood 3rd.
