Winners of HE Faculty Essay Competition felicitated

 

Aligarh : Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University today felicitated the winners of the All India Higher Education Faculty Essay Writing Competition. This competition organised by UGC Human Resource Development Centre, was a component of the G-20 University Connect Event, on the theme “Mission LiFE: Lifestyle for Environment.”

Vice Chancellor Prof. Gulrez underscored the necessity of advocating for straightforward yet potent measures to combat global warming and address climate change. He commended the effort to raise awareness among India’s higher education faculty on this urgent matter and highlighted the timeliness of their contributions.

Dr. Faiza Abbasi, the Director of UGC HRDC, announced that Dr. J. Jeyamathi from Lady Doak College in Madurai, Dr. Mohammad Nasir from the Department of Law, Dr. Mohammad Shakir from the Department of Education, Dr. Ahmed Bilal from the Civil Engineering Section at University Polytechnic, and Prof. Bhanu Prakash Singh, former Chairman of the Department of Physics at AMU, were honored during the event.

An e-book titled “Higher Education Faculty for Mission LiFE!: India’s G-20 Presidency” was formally launched by the Vice Chancellor that will be uploaded on the website website at https://hrdc.amu.ac.in/.
