Winners of Milad-un-Nabi celebratory programmes felicitated

 

ALIGARH  : The Seerat Committee, AMU Malappuram Centre, Kerala organized a host of competitive events as part of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, including speech, poster-making, essay writing and Naat competitions, in which a large number of students participated and paid respect to Prophet Mohammad (SAW) in their own way.

In the speech competition, Mohd Hassan, Afina S. S. and Arshid Khan won the first, second and third prizes, respectively under the English category, while Fahiyan, Faiz Akram and Mohd Umair, respectively won the first, second and third prizes under Hindi/Urdu category. Asif Ali, Younus KT and M. Musthafa KP got the first, second and third prizes under the Malayalam category.

In the poster-making competition, the first prize winner was Shahana Jahan, while the second prize was shared by Kashish Khan and Sidra Waseem. The third prize went to Zohra Iqubal.

The first prize in the English essay competition went to Sidra Wasim, while the second prize was shared by S. Mohd Hasan and Afina S.S. and the third prize went to Shagil Ansari.

In Urdu/Hindi essay competition, Faiz Akram, Mohd Umair and Natiq Adnan won the first, second and third prizes respectively, while in the Malayalam essay competition, Younus VT was declared winner of the first prize, Muhammed Musthafa K.P. and Umm Abeedha shared the second prize and Mohd Assaf Ali, Nafiha Fashana and Fathima Filu shared the third prize.

In the Urdu/Hindi Naat competition, the first prize went to Asif Meer, second to Sidra Waseem and third to Mohd. Saeed, while in Arabic language, Mohd Umair, Mohd. Sinan and Musharraf got the first, second and third prizes respectively. Mohd. Sinan also got the first prize in the Malayalam Naat competition.

A group of students also presented Qaseeda Burda Shareef.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest, Allama Dr. Mustaqeem Ahmad Faizi, Darul Huda University discussed the various aspects of the Prophet’s life and his relevance in contemporary times. He said that Islam attracted people from all walks of life and granted them the best of human rights, a just society aspires for its members.

Earlier, Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik, Director Incharge, welcomed the guest speaker and Mr. Mohammad Ahzam Khan and Dr. Sadaf Jafri gave away prizes to the winners.

Mohammad Nadeem, Umair Siddiqi, Alia Arif and Noor Afsha conducted various sessions while Mohammad Qais extended a vote of thanks.
