Winter clothes donation campaign organized

ALIGARH : The Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University initiated a week-long Winter Clothes Donation campaign as part of the students’ extension and outreach activities and community work. The faculty members and students of the department actively participated and donated winter clothes and extended support to boost up the campaign.

The student volunteers collected the clothes including shirts, trousers and sweaters for male, female and kids and distributed more than 80 packets of such clothes to the needy living in the Civil Lines, Shamshad Market and Chungi Market areas of Aligarh city.

Faculty members Mr. Zaid Ahmad Siddiqui, Dr. Shahidul Hoque, Dr. Hina Mushtaq and the students Sabina Eaysmin, Yasmina Begum, Ifra Fayaz, Arooj Ahmad Wani, Syed Kamran Ahmad, Rubina Sultana, Shaista Akhter led the distribution of the clothes.

Dr. Aquil Ahmad, Chairperson of the department, appreciated the initiative and urged the student volunteers to extend this deed of benevolence to other needy people as well.
