Women entrepreneurs to attend Womennovator programme at AMU

Aligarh: A group of more than 70 women entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders and social activists will gather at AMU to discuss professional parameters for scaling development of women empowerment in 100+ cities and 90+ sectors under the WE-PITCH programme.

The program is being organized by the Womennovator, the first virtual incubator for women entrepreneurs created with an objective to empower women, in association with the Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University. The programme, scheduled for 23 February 2020, is supported by the Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, Government of India.

Prof Pervez Talib, Chairman, Department of Business Administration informed that more than 70 women entrepreneurs representing start-ups and micro, small and medium enterprises, professionals and leaders and social activists will participate in the programme. He said that the programme has endorsed the women empowerment principles of UN Goals ? Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

He said that Dr Prerna Kohli, Clinical Psychologist, and Prof Jamal Ahmad Farooquie, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies & Research, AMU will be the chief guest and Ms Tripti Shinghal Somani, Founder, Womennovator, Ms Madhavi Advani, Luxury Consultant PR and Brand Promotion, Ms Aarti Mittal, Director of Mothertouch Senior Secondary School, Mr Nadeem Raja, Hony President of Dr Zakir Husain Foundation, Mr Pravin Agarwal, Educationist and Entrepreneur, Prof Ayesha Farooq, Department of Business Administration, AMU and Dr Swati Rao, Department of Strategy and Securities Studies, AMU will be the guests of honour.

The proposed jury members include Prof Parvaiz Talib, Ms Saroj Singh, author, poet and social activist, Ms Anjuman Nikhat Jafri, Assistant Commissioner of Tax and Audit, UP and Mr Hasan Zaidi, Chairman, ITTT & CX Consultant.
