Women sensitised about POSHAN VATIKA, PMMVY scheme at Dhandrath

RAMBAN : ICDS Ramban today sensitised the local women about POSHAN VATIKA, PMMVY scheme here at an awareness camp held at Dhandrath Panchayat as part of POSHAN MAAH.

Supervisor ICDS Ramban, Negina Begum and ANM, Rano Devi sensitized the participants including Anganwadi Workers, Helpers, ASHA workers besides PRIs about developing and managing POSHAN VATIKA in the vacant space of Anganwadi centres, School Premises and in Gram Panchayat.

Anganwadi workers, Helpers were also instructed to create Kitchen Garden in their Anganwadi centres.

A detail discussion was held on activities scheduled during POSHAN MAAH and implementation of PMMVY Scheme besides ensuring healthy food, nutrients which are available in the local nutritive food for pregnant women.

It was informed that POSHAN Abhiyan is a Jan Andolan or “People’s Movement” envisaging inclusive participation of public representatives of local bodies, government departments, social organizations and the public and private sector at large.

Meanwhile, a slogan writing competition for Anganwadi workers and helpers was also conducted during the programme.
