Women’s College to organise a conference
Aligarh: A two-day international online conference titled, “Gender Equality for a Better World: Issues and Challenges”, organised by the Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University along in collaboration with University Grants Commission will be held on August, 19 and 20.
The Inaugural programme is scheduled to start at 10 A.M and will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor. The Chief Guest of the programme will be Dr Farah Usmani, Deputy Director, UNFPA and the Keynote address will be delivered by Prof Yasmeen Saikia, Hardt-Nickachos Endowed Chair in Peace Studies and Arizona State University, U.S.A.
Among the other dignitaries who will participate are Prof Shireen Moosvi, AMU, Prof Amina Kishore, AMU and MANUU, Prof Indu Agnihotri, DU and CWDS, Ms Sumbul Rizvi, UNHCR, Geneva, Prof Amina Ansari, JMI, Prof Kumkum Roy, JNU and Ms Rakshanda Jalil.
The Guest of Honour for the valedictory session will be Dr Hamida Tariq.
The programme is designed under the expert direction of the Principal Prof Naima Khatoon with the special efforts of the programme co-ordinator Prof Nazia Hasan.
