Women’s Polytechnic Orientation Program

 

Aligarh: To welcome and prepare the newly admitted students of various courses for their new roles; an online ‘Orientation cum Interaction Program’ was organised at the University Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). It was held in the virtual mode to help keep students safe as a response to the Covid pandemic.

Dr Salma Shaheen (Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic) stressed on the need of developing practical skills and the requirement of dedication, discipline and determination to succeed.

In the welcome address, she also urged students to gain knowledge and training to the best of their abilities.

“Orientation marks a successful beginning of a college session as it assures to the new students that they made a good decision in their college choice. It also helps students to prepare for a successful career with clear vision,” said Dr Salma.

Syeda Shira Moin (Guest Faculty, CES, University Women’s Polytechnic) delivered a presentation to make the newly admitted students aware about the availability of infrastructural and academic facilities. She also conducted the programme.

Tariq Ahmed (Assistant Professor, CES) presented the Diploma in Engineering (Computer, Electronics and IT) course curriculum to the students.

Atifa Aqeel (Guest Faculty, EES) conducted the interactive session and Dr M Ajmal Kafeel extended the vote of thanks.
