Working meeting with leading representatives of science in the field of ichthyology

Vladimir Labinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia – Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Republic of Karelia, held a working meeting with representatives of scientific industry organizations of the region on the issue of developing a unified approach in determining the permissible volumes of growing aquaculture objects in the water bodies of the Republic of Karelia.
The event was attended by representatives of Petrozavodsk State University: Director of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agrotechnology Tamara Kuchko and Deputy Head of the Department of Animal Science , Fish Farming, Agronomy and Land Management Anna Volkova.

During the meeting, the issue of the need to develop a unified regional methodology when carrying out research work to determine the maximum permissible volumes of cultivation of aquaculture objects in the water bodies of the region was discussed, including methodological studies on hydrobiology, hydrochemistry and hydrology of a water body, including during the conduct of an environmental monitoring. The customer of this work can be the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Republic of Karelia or the branch union of trout breeders.
