Workshop held on ‘Achieving Academic and Research Excellence, using Web of Science and EndNote’

ALIGARH  : Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University organized a Workshop on “Achieving Academic and Research Excellence, using Web of Science and EndNote” at the Cultural Hall of the library.

The resource person Mr. Vishav Sharma from Clarivate highlighted the points which should be kept in mind searching for the resource material online for research. He gave a live demo of the Web of Science platform and explained how researchers can use the platform skillfully to harvest maximum result according to his need. He also made presentation on the use of online version of the EndNote software for reference management and right journal selection for quality publication.

Earlier, Prof. Nishat Fatima, the University Librarian explained the importance of the workshop by focusing on today’s scenario of using resources available in various ways, with special focus on Web of Science and EndNote. She also felicitated the resource person by presenting a memento.

Dr. Syed Shaz Husain welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction to the Web of Science and EndNote, while Dr. Shajural Islam Khan elaborated on the resources available at the MA Library and Dr. Naseer Ahmad gave details of the Oriental collection of the MA Library.

Dr. Monawwer Eqbal, Deputy Librarian, coordinated the workshop.

More than 210 faculty members, research scholars and students, out of about 560 registrations, participated in the workshop.
