Workshop held on Currency Management in India

ALIGARH  : The Department of Business Administration (DBA), Faculty of Management Studies and Research (FSMSR), Aligarh Muslim University hosted a one-day Workshop on “Currency Management in India and Note Security Features”, with Mr. Ajay Sisodia, Mr. Amandeep Singh and Mr. Abhishek from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Kanpur as the resource persons.

In his inaugural address, the chief guest, AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez shared his views on the currency related regulations of RBI and appreciated the role of the RBI in managing the currency flow in the country.

He said the workshop will help our students and faculty members in getting acquainted with the administrative aspect of the currency management.

Prof. Ayesha Farooq, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research, emphasized that financial sustainability and security of currency are an integral aspect of a robust economic system, and for the students of management, it is essential to be aware of the currency management that ensures economic stability in the country.

Prof. Jamal Ahmad Farooquie, Chairman, DBA highlighted the evolving landscape of currency and the integration of the online payment systems.

The resource persons, Mr. Amandeep Singh, Mr. Abhishek and Mr. Ajay Sisodia elaborated on the salient features of Indian currency and discussed the measures taken to manage the currency. They conducted an interactive question-answer session and the participants gained valuable knowledge about currency management practices, focusing on counterfeit prevention and note security features.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Asif Akhter, Coordinator of the Workshop, said that the participants gained a deeper understanding of currency management in India and note security measures in the workshop, which will benefit their academic and professional pursuits. He also concluded the inaugural session and extended vote of thanks.

The academic session was conducted by an MBA final year student, Sadiya Naaz.
