Workshop held on effective teaching in primary classes
ALIGARH : The S.T.S. School (Minto Circle), Aligarh Muslim University organized a workshop on “Effective Teaching in Primary Classes in view of NEP 2020”, in collaboration with the Cordova Pvt. Ltd., Noida, to discuss and disseminate effective teaching strategies aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, focusing on primary education. A number of educators and primary school teachers from AMU Secondary Schools attended the workshop.
Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director, Directorate of School Education, AMU, while delivering the inaugural address, highlighted the significance of NEP 2020 and its transformative potential for primary education. He emphasized the need for adopting innovative teaching methods and integrating modern technology into the curriculum to enhance the learning experience for young students.
The resource person, Dr. Kalpana Joshi made a presentation on NEP 2020 and its implications for primary education, covering the restructuring of the school curriculum, emphasis on holistic development, and the importance of experiential learning.
Dr. Joshi delved into the effective teaching strategies within the NEP 2020 framework. She shared practical insights and methods to enhance classroom engagement and foster a better learning environment for primary students.
