Workshop held on financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills held in AMU

Aligarh: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre organised a workshop on financial literacy in the entrepreneurial field. The event was conducted by the Financial Literacy and Counseling Centre under Reserve Bank of India financial inclusion programme.

Delivering a lecture on the topic, Mr V Balakrishnan, noted counselor, underscored the significance of financial literacy for entrepreneurs and other financial institutes. He said that the financial institutes did not use any type of security as collateral bond and young entrepreneurs should not be afraid of entering into a loan deed with them for establishing a business. He also described various leeway and supports provided by these institutions to help tphe entrepreneurs to grow and develop their business ideas.

Earlier, Dr Faisal KP, Director of the Centre, welcomed the guests and felicitated them with a memento.

Mr Syed Ahmad Saad, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration encouraged students to make effort to gain financial literacy for entrepreneurial ambitions. He said it was important for business management students to know what their capabilities were and how they could enhance these capabilities.

Dr Ahsan Sadiq urged the students to understand business environment around them and accordingly develop their entrepreneurial skills.

The workshop concluded with an interactive session.
