Workshop held on personality development

ALIGARH: The Personality Assessment and Mentoring Committee, Department of Business Administration (DBA), Aligarh Muslim University organized a workshop on ‘Personality Development’ to help the participants unlock their potential and raise their confidence level, communication skills and emotional intelligence for attaining professional excellence.

Prof. Jamal Ahmad Farooquie, Chairman of the Department, welcomed the resource person, Ms Shahwar Shohrat, an alumna of AMU and National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Prof. Ayesha Farooq, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research, introduced Ms Shohrat to the audience as a dynamic female leader and entrepreneur, who possesses extensive experience, with a strong humanitarian ethos, in establishing and managing businesses.

In her interaction, Ms Shohrat addressed pertinent issues related to personality development. She laid the focus on non-verbal communication including body language, maintaining eye contact and being alert.

Prof. Parvaiz Talib, Faculty-in-Charge, Personality Assessment and Mentoring Committee, highlighted the need for organizing such workshops, while Dr Zareen Husain Farooq proposed a vote of thanks.
