Workshop on academic writing concludes
ALIGARH : The three-day workshop on “Academic Writing Using LaTeX” organized by the Department of Economics, Aligarh Muslim University, concluded.
The chief guest, former AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Gulrez highlighted the importance of academic writing as the fundamental element of every university and the foundation of scholarly endeavours. He emphasized that in evolving times, the use of technology is on the rise, not just for writing but also for documenting purposes.
Prof. Shafey Kidwai, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, highlighted the crucial role of academic writing in safeguarding and progressing knowledge across diverse academic disciplines, alongside the growing influence of technology in this domain.
Earlier, welcoming the guests and participants, Prof. Shehroz Alam Rizvi, Chairperson, Department of Economics, described the LaTeX software, highlighting its necessity and significance in the realm of academic writing.
Dr. Md. Zulquar Nain, Coordinator of the workshop, said that the three-day workshop provided a multitude of hands-on experiences and opinion on academic writing using modern technological tools.
