Workshop on ‘Electrophysiology and Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation and Complex Coronary Stenting’
Aligarh: Resource persons discussed how to measure the electrical activity of the heart, diagnosis of abnormal heart rhythms and the treatment procedures in the workshop on ‘Electrophysiology and Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation (EPS/RFCA ) and Complex Coronary Stenting’ organised by the Department of Cardiology, J N Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
“Radiofrequency ablations are done on heart patients with very high uncontrollable heart rates and unstable heart rhythms,” said Prof M U Rabbani, Chairman, Department of Cardiology.
He added: “These workshops not only help patients in getting the right treatment, but they also benefit the residents pursuing D.M. Cardiology.”
Renowned cardiologist and Padma Bhushan awardee, Prof K K Talwar (Chairman, Pushpa wati Singhania Research Institute—PSRI Hospital, New Delhi) with his team comprising Dr Amitabh Yaduvanshi, Dr Mohit Bhagwati and Dr Gaurav Gupta helped conducting the workshop.
Prof Talwar and his team members also delivered lectures in the CME programme, jointly organised by PSRI and Department of Cardiology, JNMC.
Prof Asif Hasan and Prof M M Azharuddin also participated in the workshop.
