Workshop on financial literacy organized
ALIGARH : The Computer Science Society (CSS), Department of Computer Science, Aligarh Muslim University organized a three-day workshop on “Financial Literacy for Youth”, in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), in order to provide the students with the knowledge of entrepreneurship and financial trends of the market and guide them towards a better career prospect.
Dr. Akeelurrehman, visiting Faculty, Pune Institute of Business Management conducted the workshop. He has been associated with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for the last more than 10 years as Securities Market Trainer and conducted more than 600 Financial Education and Investor Awareness Programme for SEBI, NSE, BSE, AMFI, PFRDA and NISM.
Welcoming the guest speaker, Prof. Aasim Zafar, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science appreciated the efforts of Dr. Mohammad Nadeem, Assistant Professor for jointly organizing the event and urged the students to get acquainted with the necessary entrepreneurship skills. He said the workshop’s main objective is to make the students aware of the process and norms of starting a new company and generating fund to support it.
