Workshop on IPR successfully conducted for the student and teaching fraternity of IIM Jammu

Jammu: IIM Jammu’s Foundation for Entrepreneurship Innovation and Skill Development under the guidance and able leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu organized an IPR (Patent) workshop for the benefit of the student, and teaching fraternity on 13-12-2022 at its Canal Road Campus.

The session was organized by IIM Jammu in association with National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM). The session was conducted by Mr. Divyendu Jha, a resource person from NIPAM, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. The welcome note was delivered by Dr. Prateek Jain, Chairperson, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, IIM Jammu.

Mr. Divyendu Jha spoke about the various aspects of the IPR with special reference to Patenting and Geographical Indications. During his interaction, he put forward the simple and hassle-free process of making Applications to the Patent office at a very low fee. He motivated the participants to make their own applications and participate in the innovation mission of Govt. of India ( GoI).

The session was also attended by faculty members of other degree colleges in Jammu. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer, IIM Jammu.
