Workshop on ‘Online Hemodiafiltration’

Aligarh: The Department of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) collaborated with the Fresenius Medical Care to provide the dialysis technicians, diploma in dialysis students and resident doctors with the necessary hands-on-training during the workshop on ‘Online Hemodiafiltration’.

The participants were also trained in various other dialysis techniques and management of kidney disorders during the workshop.

Inaugurating the programme, Prof Shadab Ahmad Khan (Chairman, Department of Medicine) stressed the need for developing competence skills in dialysis techniques for better management of kidney disorders.

Prof Shahzad Faizul Haque (Department of Medicine) spoke on the upgradation of dialysis techniques and better management of kidney patients.

“Workshops like these provide the participants with the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest modalities in dialysis,” said Dr Mohd Aslam (Incharge, Nephrology and Dialysis Unit) adding that there are plans to soon start the renal transplant facility at JNMC.
