Workshops conclude at UGC HRDC
Aligarh: Noted educationists from United Kingdom, Dr Elizabeth Rider Grant, formerly University College, London and Dr Richard Rider, University of Coventry provided hands on training to the faculty members and research scholars of different department of studies, Aligarh Muslim University in four workshops organized by the UGC Human Resource Development Centre, AMU.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Professor A R Kidwai (Director, UGC HRDC) said that publishing is an essential aspect of academic career and constant efforts are needed to bring out world class publications. He thanked the AMU Alumni Association of the United Kingdom for sponsoring the visit of the foreign trainers.
Dr Rider and Dr Grant also met Dr Hameeda Tariq, wife of AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor and complimented the team AMU on its commendable work in maintaining high standards of education in the AMU.
The participants, Dr Abdul Majid Siddiqui (Islamic Studies) and Ms Amna Zaidi (English) appreciated the workshops for being useful in learning the nuances of good writing.
Dr Faiza Abbasi, Assistant Director, conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
