World Environment Day celebrated in AMU Girls School
ALIGARH : The Aligarh Muslim University Girls’ School organized several competitive events, special assembly, including quiz and essay writing competitions, to observe the World Environment Day to spread global awareness for the protection of the environment.
The Principal, Ms Amna Malik, along with Ms Alka Agarwal guided and supervised the events.
The special assembly featured English and Hindi speeches by Sakina Ruman Rizvi and Pari Varshney, respectively, while Kulsum, Prachi Sharma and Iffat shared the first prize in the quiz competition. The second and third prizes went to Huda Shamim and Pari Varshney respectively. Farzin Fatima and Ilma Owais Siddiqui were given the consolation prize.
Ms. Tazeen Fatima and Mr. Irshad Khan judged the quiz.
In the Essay Writing Competition, the first prize went to Iffat, while the second prize was shared by Dharti Garg and Pari Varshney. Salma Khatoon got the third prize and the consolation prize was given to Prachi Sharma.
Dr. Sharafat Ali and Ms. Shabnam Aijaz judged the competition.
