World Environment Day celebrated with enthusiasm across Doda district; Series of activities organised to mark the day

DODA : To mark the “World Environment Day” celebrations across the District Doda, series of events were organised by the various government offices and educational institutions of Doda, under the supervision of DDC Doda Vikas Sharma, with enthusiasm and zeal.

During the day plantation drives, cleanliness drives, paintings, debate competitions were witnessed in the educational institutions. Besides, as per the directions of CEO J&K and DEO Doda, various activities were carried out viz planting trees /kitchen gardening, in the lawns of polling booths, seminars/debates and cleanliness drive etc at various educational institute under the close supervision of Dy DEO Doda Akhter Hussain Qazi.

The key note speakers during the day long program generated awareness among the participants about the importance of the neat and clean environment and stressed to ensure cleanliness in their adjoining areas, besides also enlighten them about the challenges that are causing damages to the environment which in turn is directly related with overall human health.
