World Quantum Day

Aligarh : The World Quantum Day as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated by Physics Department AMU with a theme, Quantum@Aligarh”. “World Quantum Day celebration tries to spread awareness about Quantum Science and Technology. It helps us understand Nature at its most fundamental level and how it can lead to future scientific and technological revolutions, to impact our society” said the Chief Guest, Prof M Ashraf (Dean Faculty of Science).

Dr SSZ Ashraf (Dept of Physics) elaborated upon the importance of Quantum Mechanics and its relevance to the World Quantum Day.

Prof BP Singh (Chairman Dept of Physics) in his welcome address mentioned the initiative of the first global celebration of World Quantum Day on 14thApril 2022.

On this occasion awards and certificates were given to the students for “Quantum@ Speeches” and “Quantum@Quiz Competition” held in the department.

Dr Jai Prakash (Convener of the Program) paid a vote of thanks and also conducted the programme.
