WTO Chairs Programme Double Credit Course on International Investment Law Inaugurated at DNLU Jabalpur

Dharmashastra National Law University Jabalpur inaugurated the Double Credit Course on
International Investment Law on 26th October 2023.
The event unfolded with inaugural ceremony in presence of esteemed guests and speakers,
including the distinguished presence of the Guest of Honour, Hon’ble Shri Justice Sujoy
Paul. The ceremony featured a lineup of estemeed guests; Prof. Sheela Rai, Dean & Professor
of Law at NLU Odisha; Dr. Rosmy Joan, Assistant Professor at National Law University,
Jodhpur; Mr. Satwik Shekhar, Senior Consultant & Assistant Professor at CTIL, IIFT,
Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Their collective wisdom and expertise set the stage for a day of profound insights and valuable
discourse who delivered insightful speeches, further contributing to the depth and breadth of
the day’s discussions. Discussions were made on different topics such as Introduction to
International Investment session delivered by Dr. Rosmy Joan, the Schedule of Commitments
delivered by Mr. Satwik Shekha, and on Expropriation within international investment law
delivered by Prof. Sheela Rai.
This seminar marked a significant step in facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the
realm of ‘International Investment’ and the pivotal role played by ‘Investors,’ with a primary
focus on crucial topics such as the Schedule of Commitments and Expropriation within the
context of international investment law.
The credit course will be running in a span of three days commencing from today.
