XII CBSE Exams Result: VidyaGyan batch of 2020 shines, 134 students score above 90%

Noida: VidyaGyan, a leadership academy for economically underprivileged, meritorious students from rural Uttar Pradesh, today announced that the batch graduating from the school this year has achieved stellar results in their Grade XII board examinations. Devesh Sharma student of humanities from VidyaGyan Bulandshahr secured top honors with 99.2%.

Every year, VidyaGyan handpicks approximately 200 rural toppers from among 250,000 students who appear for the first round of the admissions selection process from across Uttar Pradesh. These children come from families with an annual income of less than one lac per annum. The Academy focuses on all-round development of the students and invests in several programs in curricular and co-curricular activities for the same.

This year students Anurag Tiwari and Shikoh Zaidi from VidyaGyan, Sitapur secured admission on 100% scholarship at Cornell University, an ivy league university in the US and at Georgetown University in Qatar, respectively. Additionally, Sagar Rathi from VidyaGyan Bulandshahr also secured admission at Georgetown University in Qatar with full aid.

A total of 162 students appeared for their board examinations this year at the two VidyaGyan campuses in Bulandshahr and Sitapur and achieved a school average of 93.7%. 134 students scored above 90% while 36 students scored 100 marks in various subjects.
