XITE College (Autonomous) Celebrates Yoga Day with Enthusiastic Participation!

 

Gamharia – Today, XITE College (Autonomous) celebrated International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm, organized by the NSS Department. The event aimed to promote the benefits of yoga and encourage students to incorporate it into their daily lives for overall well-being.
The event featured esteemed yoga guru, Mr. Dulal Patra from Jamshedpur, who guided the participants through various asanas, including Shirshasana, Mayurasana, Paschimottanasana, Dhanurasana, Anulom Vilom, Kapalbhati, Bhramari and Surya Namaskar. His expert instruction provided students with valuable insights into the physical and mental benefits of each pose.
A total of 15 students eagerly participated in the yoga session, demonstrating their commitment to adopting a healthier lifestyle. The session not only focused on physical postures but also emphasized the importance of breathing techniques and meditation in achieving mental clarity and emotional balance.
Vice Principal Dr. (Fr.) Mukti Clarence graced the occasion with his presence, highlighting the significance of yoga in fostering a holistic approach to health. NSS Program Officer Mr. Naval Narayan Chaudhary, along with non-teaching staff Ms. Seema Herenj, Ms. Helen Birua and Mr. Ashish Singh, were also present to support and encourage the students.
In his address, Dr. (Fr.) Mukti Clarence emphasized, “Yoga is not just about physical exercise; it is a way of connecting the mind, body and soul. Regular practice can lead to improved concentration, reduced stress and a balanced lifestyle.”
