XSEED introduces Indian schools to the relevance of its NEP-compliant ‘new-age’ programme on its 100-district education tour
XSEED, the Singapore-based disruptive education programme that focuses on instilling critical thinking and problem-solving skills as part of their school curriculum, is currently on a mission to build a strong foundation for India’s school children to become leaders of tomorrow. The XSEED team, led by founder Ashish Rajpal, is on an eight-month, 100-district tour across India educating teachers, principals, school owners and parents of school-going children on the benefits of adopting its NEP-compliant new-age learning methodologies.

The campaign has already covered 22 districts in Punjab, Telangana, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu and will travel to the remaining 80-odd districts by April 2023.
“India needs an education revolution and if we get it wrong now, we can be sure that we will shortchange future generations. We need to move with the times and create a learning ecosystem that creates future professionals and citizens who can compete and flourish anywhere in the world. The current traditional education system in India is lacking in several ways — heavy emphasis on textbooks, lectures, and recall based exams continues. The technology focus is more on hardware and glitz, rather than high-quality content and applications which teachers and students need. While COVID has accelerated teacher openness to technology, a lot needs to be done to improve pedagogy, content, and methods” said Ashish Rajpal, Founder, XSEED Education and Harvard alumnus.
“XSEED is the most NEP friendly program in the country. For years XSEED has been advocating and implementing the principles laid down in the new National Education Policy. We are travelling across these 100 districts to create awareness about how our modern program fits right into the current education landscape in India,” he added.
XSEED is a K-8 academic programme that helps schools to deliver the curricula of all major boards (including CBSE, ICSE and other boards) via proven research-based teaching methodologies that use interactive resources as well as books. XSEED makes concepts interesting for children, focusses on the thinking aspects, and ensures rigour in practice. The teaching toolkit combines scientific teaching, customised content, and user-friendly technology to provide an all-round and engaging learning experience to children from Nursery to Class 8.
Over the past decade, XSEED has so far benefited 2 million children in over 220 districts and more than 20 states across India and is very much in line with what the New Education Policy aims to achieve in India today. Globally, it has been deployed in eight countries including Philippines and the Middle East.
The XSEED district tour typically starts with a visit to a member or non-member school. The team engages with the teachers and children and sits in classrooms to observe the XSEED lesson being taught by trained teachers. They also do the ‘XSEED Circle Time’ or reflective dialogue with teachers, meet the school management and sometimes, parents. This is followed by a trip to the prospective schools.
