Young school students participate in Pre-space Day activities

ALIGARH: Young students of Class IV to V at Abdullah School, Aligarh Muslim University participated in Pre-space Day activities which were organized by the school to inculcate in them enthusiasm for space exploration and inspire young minds to take interest in STEM education for higher studies.

School Superintendent, Ms. Umra Zaheer said that Pre-space Day activities were organized as a marker for India’s National Space Day on August 23, commemorating the historic success of Chandrayaan-3 in 2023.

She said that the day marks a new tradition of celebration of space exploration in India, and it aims at generating interest in children for space exploration and STEM education, and encourage them to learn about India’s space programme and achievements.

She added that the students enthusiastically participated in the Pre-space Day activities and they exhibited their talent and passion for space exploration.

Senior teachers including Ms Asma Farooqui, EVS Teacher Ms Sehba Asim and Arts Teacher Ms Arshia Aftab played a key role in organzing the programme.
