Youth4Nation Maharashtra Chapter launched by the Hon. Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari
Mumbai: ‘Youth4Nation’, a nationwide initiative to connect with the youth in colleges and universities, launched the Maharashtra Chapter on January 23, 2023 at the hands of the Chief Guest, Hon. Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who was also felicitated on the occasion by Shri. Samir Somaiya, President Somaiya Vidyavihar.
In his welcome address, Shri. Samir Somaiya, said, “We are delighted to host the programme in association with Youth4Nation, a group of senior veterans, IAS, IPS, Entrepreneurs and senior Academicians spread across the nation, with the objective to engage and inspire the youths for the constructive purposes of the country.”
Hon. Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, addressed the youth and said, “There is a need for productively using the youth power to propel growth of the nation, I laud the efforts of Youth4Nation, in inculcating and enriching the nationalistic thought processes in the young minds of our nation, and carry forward this momentum to become a leading economy.”
Professor G.S. Murthy, Chief National Coordinator of Youth4Nation, introduced the organization, and shared the proposed activities nationwide. He said, “Youth being the most productive period of one’s life, it is important for them to shape their future and the society they live in. Our activities are focused in motivating the youth to be inspired by national spirit, and enabling them to play a greater role in transforming Bharat as a leader of the world community.”
Sharing his thoughts on National Security, Lt. Gen. V.K. Chaturvedi, PVSM, AVSM, SM (Retd), Chief National Coordinator of Youth4Nation, said, “During challenging times, it has always been the youth of our Nation that has risen to the occasion. Today’s generation needs to channelize the youth power, towards emerging opportunities and reap the benefits, thus making India even stronger and glorious.”
Ms Madhusmita Bhattacharya, famous singer and a Youth4 Nation ambassador, presented a song to motivate the gathering of youth. She said, “Given the diversity of the nation, what binds us together is music, as its language is Universal, and it gives me immense pleasure to be associated with Youth4Nation.”
Youth4Nation chapters in Assam, Gujarat, and Haryana were recently inaugurated by their respective Hon’ble Governors. Launched in Oct 2021, Youth4Nation is now launching its Chapter in each and every State and Union Territories of India, looking forward to engage with higher education institutions, and reach out to the young generation.
The launch date of Youth4Nation Maharashtra chapter coincides with the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. January 24 happens to be the International Day of Education which coincides with Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav – 75 years of Indian Independence.
