ZADC Workshop on Unlocking Tips and Tricks on Posterior Composite Restorations
Aligarh : In a significant stride towards advancing dental education and practice, a workshop titled “Unlocking the Tips and Tricks on Posterior Composite Restorations” was conducted today at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College and Hospital, Aligarh Muslim University. The event, held at ZADC conference hall, garnered enthusiastic participation from 40 professionals representing various domains within dentistry.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. Tariq Mansoor, former Vice-Chancellor of AMU and Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Vidhan Parishad, UP. Prof. Mansoor underscored the pivotal role of dental colleges in delivering affordable and high-quality care to the populace. He lauded the efforts of the dental college in organizing workshops aimed at professional development.
Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Vice-Chancellor of AMU, and Patron of the workshop, emphasized the importance of dentistry in maintaining systemic health. He pledged his support for initiatives contributing to the advancement of dental education and practice.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Prof. Veena Maheshwari, Co-Patron and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Mr. Mohammad Imran (IPS), Registrar of AMU, who encouraged the continued organization of such events for the benefit of the dental community.
The workshop featured resource persons, namely Dr. Ajay Logani, Professor and Chairman of the Centre for Dental Education and Research (CDER) at AIIMS, Delhi, and Dr. Smita Singh from KJMU, Lucknow. The event commenced with enlightening lectures followed by live demonstrations and hands-on courses providing practical insights into posterior composite restorations..
Prof. R. K. Tewari, Principal of the Dental College, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing enhanced care to the masses by adopting innovative techniques in dental practice.
Dr. S. Mukhtar-Un-Nisar, Organizing Chairman, highlighted the role of workshops in enhancing the knowledge and skills of dental professionals. Dr. Humar Iftekhar, Organizing Secretary, ensured the smooth execution of the workshop.
The success of the workshop was attributed to the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee members, including Prof. S.K. Mishra as Scientific Chairman, Prof. Ashok Kumar as Chairman of the Reception Committee, Dr. Sharique Alam as Souvenir Editor, and Dr. Sajid Ali.
