“Zeal Art” exhibition inaugurated at Moinuddin Art Gallery of Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh: A three day art and craft exhibition Zeal Art was inaugurated by Dr Hameeda Tariq, an eminent paediatrician of the city and an art connoisseur exhibition with the theme “Islamic Calligraphy” at Moinuddin Art Gallery of Aligarh Muslim University on Tuesday. The event was organised by the.

Organised by University Fine Arts club of Cultural Education Centre, the exhibition was also graced by Ms Swasti Rao Kulhary as guest of honour.

The exhibition includes work of students of Department of Fine Arts and other Faculties Dr Asma Kazmi (President of University Fine Arts club) too has contributed her work in the exhibition.

Dr Hameeda and Ms Swasti were impressed with the beautiful art work related to subject and appreciated the efforts of the students for putting up the good show.

Dr Sameera Khanam was the faculty coordinator of this event and Farooque Ashraf was the organiser of “Zeal Art”.

Prof Syed S Ajmali (Coordinator CEC), Prof Romana Siddiqui (Chairperson Dept of Psychology), Prof Samina Khan, Prof Afrina Rizvi, Dr Naseem Khan (Chairperson Dept of Social Work), Prof Obaidullah (Chairperson department of Islamic Studies), Prof Latif Kazmi and many other dignitaries visited the exhibition and applauded the work of the artists.

The exhibition which will continue till 28th November has generated good response from visitors and has created buzz on calligraphy and its various forms.
