Zhejiang University hosts Institut Polytechnique de Paris delegation
On April 26, a delegation from Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), led by Elisabeth Crépon, vice-president for International Affairs and Dominique Rossin, vice-president for Education, visited Zhejiang University. HE Lianzhen, vice president of Zhejiang University met with the guests.
HE Lianzhen extended her cordial welcome to the IP Paris delegation. She recalled the solid foundation of cooperation between the two sides and introduced the latest progress that Zhejiang University made in talent training, scientific innovation and international cooperation. She stressed that the two universities achieved fruitful results in faculty and student exchanges, joint training and interdisciplinary innovation by bringing into full play their common assets in various fields. She looked forward to further expanding the scope of cooperation with the IP Paris and rolling out innovative cooperation schemes.
Elisabeth Crépon and Dominique Rossin introduced the development of global engagement and innovation in teaching and research respectively. They expressed that the IP Paris and its member institutions attach great importance to their cooperation with Zhejiang University. They hoped that on the strength of existing collaboration, the two universities would encourage two-way exchanges, launch joint programs at master’s and doctoral levels, and promote interdisciplinary cooperation in mathematics, physics and computer science.
On the afternoon, delegates from IP Paris’s member schools, including École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris and Télécom Paris, held parallel meetings with faculty members from relevant colleges and schools at ZJU, including the School of Mathematical Sciences, the School of Mechanical Engineering, the College of Energy Engineering, the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering, and the College of Computer Science and Technology. They exchanged their ideas on prospective cooperation.
At the concluding meeting, both universities expressed their strong craving for cooperation and dialogue at broader and deeper levels.
The delegation also offered the information sessions to the ZJU students and visited the exhibition hall of the School of Mechanical Engineering.

Its world-class subjects include energy, environment and climate, digital science, innovation and biological engineering.
