Zhejiang University: Vice President ZHOU Jianghong Hosts Delegation from Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology
On the morning of March 23, Zhejiang University hosted a delegation from Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology, led by Mikael Lindström, Deputy President of the institution. Vice President ZHOU Jianghong met with the distinguished guests, alongside representatives from the Office of Global Engagement, the College of Energy Engineering, the College of Optical Science and Engineering, and the International Campus.
In extending his heartfelt welcome to the delegation, ZHOU Jianghong provided an overview of Zhejiang University’s latest developments and reminisced on the fruitful cooperation between the two universities over the past two decades since the inception of their inter-university partnership. He emphasized the shared strengths and broad prospects for cooperation between the two institutions as leading academic entities in China and Sweden. He looked forward to gearing up joint efforts to cultivate high-level talent and establish a model of educational cooperation between top-tier Chinese and Swedish universities.
Mikael Lindström expressed his sincere gratitude for the gracious reception from Zhejiang University and applauded the remarkable achievements resulting from the collaboration between the two universities. He outlined the significant strides made by KTH Royal Institute of Technology in talent cultivation, research, world rankings, international cooperation, and social responsibility. He hoped that the two universities would deepen cooperation and join hands to address global challenges, thereby promoting a sustainable future.
During their visit, the delegation also visited Zhejiang University’s International Campus and engaged in festivities commemorating the 20th anniversary of cooperation in the fields of optical science and energy engineering between the two universities.
