Zhejiang University: Zhejiang University clinches 10 gold medals at 7th China College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

The 7th China College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held from October 12 to October 15 at Nanchang University. Zhejiang University staged a stellar performance with 10 gold medals, ranking 2nd among China’s universities. A total of 9.56 million students from 4,347 universities in 121 countries and regions signed up for this year’s competition. They included students from world-renowned universities such as Harvard University, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.



GoPrint, the only undergraduate project in the playoff leg for the championship in the Undergraduate Creativity category, won the third place. It can provide customers with a printer to transform their creative idea into a visible and tangible object. The founder of this project is CHEN Tianrun, an undergraduate student at the College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University. CHEN Tianrun has received widespread media coverage in China, such as People’s Daily, China Youth Daily and Zhejiang News, with key words including “innovative”, “cool” and “an invention in the dormitory”.



Flexiv won the third place in the playoff leg for the championship in the International Rising Project category. Flexiv is a global AI robotics company committed to the development and production of general-purpose intelligent robots which integrate high-precision force control, computer vision and artificial intelligence technology. Founded in 2016, Flexiv is the first company in the world to turn the concept of adaptive robots into products. Its core founding team is from Stanford University. Its products have served many Fortune 500 companies. So far, Flexiv has raised over 150 million dollars.



Other gold medal projects included De Cell Biotechnology in the Faculty-Student category, Fiber-sensing Intelligence and Intelligent Vesicle Biotechnology in the Postgraduate Creativity category, Jumper Sports in the Rising category, Ama Protection in the Undergraduate Creativity category, Relics Ark in the Youths Red Dream-building Tour category, Transfer Printing and Trace-free in the International Creativity category.



QIAN Wenxin, chairman of Huasheng Technology Co. Ltd. and CEO of 3Q Technology Co. Ltd., won the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Award. He is currently pursuing his studies at the School of Management, Zhejiang University. In 2020, he won the Gold Award in the 6th China College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. He is dedicated to improving the efficiency of scientific research and strengthening scientific collaboration. Huasheng Technology Co.
