Dr. HUANG Chongwen, a professor at the Zhejiang University College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering (ISEE), was honored the 16th IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award by the IEEE Communications Society.
As the highest honor for young researchers under the age of 35 in the field of information and communication in the region, the Award celebrates Dr. Huang’s contribution to the 6G wireless communication network enabled by the Intelligent Super Surface (RIS).
“I am so deeply honored and humbled to become an IEEE Marconi prize recipient. The honor is particularly meaningful to my research group at this moment when our 5G and beyond communications technologies are enabling our universities, companies, and the entire social ecosystem to function better as well as calling attention to the critical importance of digital inclusion. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to my collaborators. Without their endeavors, we could not win this prize,” said Dr. Huang.
