Zila Sainik Welfare Board Rajouri celebrates Raising day
Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today listed several measures taken to address the issues of Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris of the district, including grievance redress at tehsil level and through online mode.
He was speaking at a function organised to celebrate the raising day of the Zila Sainik Welfare Board.
Among the others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Pawan Kumar and Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Javed Mir; Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris were present on the occasion.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner said that District Administration Rajouri is working side by side with the Zila Sainik Welfare board for the socioeconomic development of the Ex-servicemen community in the district and all possible efforts are being made in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner hailed the Ex-servicemen saying that they are the pride of our Nation as they have given their immense contribution for the nation in their prime youth.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the Ex-servicemen to keep serving the society in the same way as they used to do during their service days.
“Whoever Ex-servicemen are involved in the work of a serviceable society, their style of working is different from other people”, the Deputy Commissioner said.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that a number of measures are being taken to strengthen the Zila Sainik Welfare Board and the mechanism for the online redressal of the grievances of the Ex-servicemen would be developed soon so that they don’t have to visit the board frequently for the redressal of the concerns.
“In addition to this, the District Administration has also decided to set up a special grievances redressal cell in the office of every Tehsildar of all the tehsils of the district where the Ex-servicemen would come and get their grievances registered”, the Deputy Commissioner added.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed that data regarding the children of the Ex-servicemen who are technically qualified is being collected to provide them employment under self employment generation schemes.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also provided financial assistance to the widows of Ex-servicemen.
